Rose Flower Sugar Shaker

This is a superb sugar shaker / caster / muffineer made by Meissen in the late 19th century. It is the larger size and is handpainted with two rose flowers including a flower bud and leaves and has an amazing reticulated and molded top for the sugar to pour out of and a little finial highlighted with gilding at the very tip. This piece does have a very decorative shape. It is in perfect condition. The cork in the bottom is more likely a replacement but one cannot be sure so it might even be the original one. The pot is marked with the underglaze blue crossed swords underneath as well as a painter's mark 44. in black and an imrepssed number typical of this period! The piece is 7.25 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
