Rose Gardener Figurine

This is a figurine of a gardener made by Meissen in the earlier part of the 20th century. He is wearing a blue and yellow cloth while digging in the ground with a shovel, with a rake by his side while leaning against a tree trunk. Two roses planted in wooden buckets to his other side with a nice base with scrolls highlighted with gilding. A very well modeled and painted piece with lots of nice detail. The figurine displays very well and is in better shape than most one sees of this model with one rose actually being perfect, the orange rose is missing two buds and one leaf is chipped and there are some chipped leaves to the back of the putto. From the front the piece displays perfectly! The figurine is 4.375 inches tall, 4.5 inches wide and 2.875 inches deep. It is marked with the crossed swords mark underneath the base as well as the usual impressed / incised numbers and letters of the period and GERMANY in blue. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
