Putti w/ Seashell Scene Saucer

This is a an unusual saucer made by Meissen in the 18th century jsut before 1740. A simple shape with a simple gold trim but the scene in the center is superb and very unusual. It is of three putti playing with seashells in a nice surrounding with corral and greenery. The putti are painted using a technique that was not mastered by many painters or utilized at many factorys. They are painted using tiny dots as can be seen in the photos. I only know of Meissen and Vienna using this way of painting. It is a superb scene and it makes this a very nice looking saucer! Gold trim around the outside of the foot ring. The piece is in perfect condition. It is 1 inch tall and has a diameter of just under 5 inches. The sauceris marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as a gold letter K. No impressed number yet so a nice early example. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
