Floral, Scenic & Turquoise Ground Saucer

This is a really fun early trembleuse style saucer made by Meissen in about 1745. It has a quatrefoil shape with two compartments that are superbly hand painted with a floral arrangement on turquoise ground and the other two compartments have a very high quality scene including couples in a landscape surrounding. Really nice gold trim in between the compartments as well as along the rim with the scenic ones also having a bit of black trim. The center has a yellow rose with the raised rim nicely shaped with a bit of gold trim. This style one would more likely associate with the Dresden makers like Helena Wolfsohn these days as they loved this style and copied it often but this is the original and yes Meissen made this style though is is not easy to find at all. Sadly I do not have the cup. The saucer is in great condition with a bit of wear to the gilding. The piece is 1.25 inches tall, 5.5 inches wide and 4.75 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as a puce 4. and the usual impressed number they started using around this time. There are also fours small flowers painted on the underside to hide firing flaws and a gold ring around the outside of the footring. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
