Silver Fox Figurine

This is a rare and superb figurine of a Silver Fox made by Meissen during the 20th century. First modeled by Erich Hösel this figurine is hand painted perfectly to look real. The fox is sitting on a white base to give it a nice contrast. The sitting version is much much harder to find than the standing one. Not sure why that is as both are beautiful. The figure is in perfect condition with some black firing impurities along the very bottom edge of the base and some sort of firing issue to the color to the neck in the front. He displays perfectly but that is the reason he is denoted a second choice piece. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with two lines cut across it as well as the usual impressed / incised marks as shown. The figurine is 7.375 inches tall, 4 inches wide and 5.5 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $1249
