Marked Blue Onion Fork

This is a nice porcelain handled fork made by Meissen in the late 19th or early 20th century. They are both visibly marked which is rather rare to see! The porcelain handle is decorated with their famous under glaze blue onion ( Zwiebelmuster ) design. It has the crossed swords mark on the end of the handle as shown. The fork is in great condition with just a bit of oxidation to the metal. The fork is about 8.5 inches long with the visible porcelain being about 3.5 inches long. The metal is marked with the Zwilling J. A. Henckels AG mark as shown. The company was founded in 1731 and is still around in Solingen Germany today. Not sure if there is a way to date this mark. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $129
