Figural Chamberstick

This is a really superb little chamberstick / candlestick / figural candleholder made by Meissen in the 19th century. I have never come across this model before and it is definitely a new favorite of mine! A highly detailed piece that has a little figure of a gardener in the center holding a hoe and a bird aurrounded by an arbor of a tree and its branches withleaves and lots of flowers with the smaller candle holder on top. The base has four feet, some relief scrolls highlighted in pink and light blue as well as some gilding. The finger loop is in the back coming out of the main tree trunk. The piece is absolutely stunning! Tons of detail and all hand painted. The nicest chamberstick I have come across for sure! The piece is in great condition especially considering the age. Just a couple of small chips to a leaf or two and one flower - I cannot believe there aren't more issues but it's a rare survivor for sure! The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords, a red painter's mark 25 as well as the usual impressed / incised numbers as shown. The entire piece is 5.25 inches tall, 3 inches wide and3.2 5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or photos.
