Small Scenic Lidded Cup & Saucer

This is a rare lidded cup and saucer made by Meissen during the Pfeiffer period around 1925. The set has a nice cobalt blue ground color and a nice gild design to the rim but the best part is the scene on each piece surrounded by fancy floral gilding. The scene have a touch of Art Nouveau to them especially the one on the cup and the lid. The saucer has a scene of a castle or church by a river on it. Nice detail as one would expect from Meissen. The scene on the cup is more of a forest scene with some building in the background and the one on the lid is with two boats on a river also with some building in the background. This is one superb set and amazingly in perfect condition! The cup and saucer are marked underneath with the underglazed blue crossed swords mark with the dot as well as some impressed numbers and a blue V. which is likely a painters mark. The cup is just over 1.5 inches tall and 2.25 inches in diameter. The saucer is 0.875 inches tall and 4.375 inches in diameter. And the lid is 1.5 inches tall and 2.375 inches in diameter.
