Underglaze Colors Small Scenic Dish #2

This is a cute little trinket or pin dish made by Meissen in the early 20th century - 1910 to be exact. It was made for their 200 year anniversary. It is rare to find Meissen pieces with under glaze scenes so this is a treat. The scene is hand painted and of the famous Albrechtsburg - the site of where Meissen porcelain started. Nicely done and like I said the under glaze painted pieces are hard to find. Very much in the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil taste of the period. The piece is in perfect condition. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark underneath with the year 1710 and 1910 next to it. It also has some impressed numbers as shown. The dish is just over 0.25 inches tall and about 4.25 inches wide and deep.4.625 inches at the diagonal. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
