Smoking Dutchman Figurine

This is a figurine made by Meissen in the late 19th or early 20th century. It is of a Dutchman sitting on a nice pillow prepping his pipe for a nice smoke. He is dressed in a fancy outfit and the base has a couple of nice flowers to it. it's a great looking piece one does not come across very often. Off course it was first modeled in the 18th century. Nice design and hand painted to perfection as one would expect from this maker. The figure is in great condition with one of the tassels on the back corner of the pillow chipped off. Not obvious when on display and the piece looks amazing! The figure is 5 inches tall, 2.125 inches wide and 3.25 inches deep. It is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well has the usual impressed and painter's marks as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $799
