Strawflower Open Salt Dish

This is a really nice open salt dish made by Meissen in the late 18th century during the Marcolini period. . A really nice example in terms of shape and not one I ahve seen in this decoration before. The piece has a shell shaped dish on top sitting on three feet which looks stunning. The dish has a nice relief design to the paste and is hand painted with the famous strawflower design and even has some flowers to the underside as shown. The piece is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with the star below it as well as a number 14 as shown. The salt dish is 2 inches tall, 3.125 inches wide and 3.75 inches long. It is in perfect condition which is always a plus! Just a superb piece! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
