Strewn Flowers Punch Bowl

This is a rare large lidded punch bowl dish made by Meissen in the late 19th century. The piece is nicely modeled as a round piece with a large opening on top that fits the lid. It has a nicely modeled handle to either side highlighted with gilding. The lid has a superb lemon finial with its stem and two leaves and an opening for a ladle in one spot. The entire piece is edcorated with their hand painted strewn / scattered flowers pattern. Lots of different single flowers all over the main body and lid. A stunning piece that is very hard to find! The dish is in superb condition without any issues. There is one tiny black firing spot which is comon on these earlier pieces. Marked as a first choice piece so just being pick here! The main body is marked with the under glaze crossed swords mark underneath as well as the usual impressed numbers and a black painter's number 43 as shown. The piece is about 9.5 inches tall (including the finial) and has a diameter of about 8.5 inches. The handles stick out about 1.5 inches on either side.
