Strewn Flower Tea Light Holder #1

This is a lidded tealight holder for your teapot warmer or veilleuse made by Meissen in the late 19th or early 20th century. Basically the carrying case for the little candle to keep your teapot warm. It is decorated with their often seen strewn flowers design which means it has these cute little hand painted single flowers scattered about as well as some gold trim. Simple shape with a nice handle to one side and finial to the lid. The main body of the tea light is marked underneath with the blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual impressed and incised numbers, some black numbers and GERMANY printed in blue. First quality. The dish and lid are in perfect condition. The piece is about 1.75 inches tall with a diameter of 2.25 inches. The handle sticks out about 11.25 inches to one side.
