Superb Blue & White Floral Plate #1

This is a really nice under glaze blue painted plate made by Meissen in the mid to late 19th century. One of the nicest non 18th century blue and white pieces I have seen in quite a while. The piece is hand painted with a superb floral design filling the entier center including a rock or something along those lines in the bottom center and two butterflies fluttering above. The flowers are amazing - likely peonies and the plate also has a nice trim around the edge. Looks amazing on the wall! The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as a blue painter's number and the usual impressed numbers as shown. It is 1.5 inches tall and 9.75 inches in diameter. The plate is in perfect condition. And if this wasn't enough I even have a matching plate if anyone would like a pair which is also listed on the site. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $649
