Teichert Meissen Chamber Pot

This is a rare porcelain chamber pot made by The Meissner Ofen-und Porzellanfabrik Teichert in the late 19th century. The piece is rather large and heavy even for a chamber pot and is hand painted in the famous blue onion design all around the outside with a small design on the bottom inside. The piece is in great condition with some firing inclusions to the top inside of the handle where it attaches to the body, in an area of the top rim and inside a bit as well. Still displays nicely and obviously did the trick otherwise it would not be here today. It displays nicely and look superb. Makes for a great (be it weird) conversation starter since people usually think these are giant cups. A must have for a blue onion collector or urologist that colelcts these pieces or bourdaloues for sure! The chamber pot is marked underneath in under glaze blue with the name Meissen in an oval with a star above it as shown as well as a blue number 79. The piece is 5.625 inches tall with a diameter of 8 inches - the handle sticks out another 1.5 inches. Please email me for more information or photos.
