Pre 1740 Tischchenmuster Beaker Cup

This is superb single handle beaker style cup made by Meissen before 1740. It is hand painted in the Imari style with flowering chrysanthemum branches growing from that able in the center that givs the pattern its name. This is a very nice version here. The flowers cover most of the pieces very nicely plus there are even a couple of tiny bugs painted on it. The handle shape is quite typical for this early period. It has a bit of red trim to it and there is a red, purple and gold trim to the inside rim. White edge which never had any gilding but I think that is what makes it look even better because the inside trim design is all you need. The colors of this period are some of my favorites and this is a great design! The cup is in good condition with a large and a small chip to the bottom foot ring. There is a bit of a hairline to the foot that shows up on the underside bottom but is not visible on top at all and I really did look with a bright light and all. Some firing flaws on the inside wall as shown from impurities of the paste. A really nice early example! The piece is marked underneath with their early crossed swords mark as shown - no impressed numbers yet so definitely pre 1740. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
