Turquoise Ground Floral Cup

This is an early cup made by Meissen in the mid 18th century. It has a super fancy handle highlighted with some gilding, gold trim to the top edge, an amzing turquoise ground color covering most of the outside except for two floral panels surrounded by a quatrefoil shaped thin black line and thicker gold line trim. The floral arrangements are superbly hand painted in the Deutsche Blumen style starting to be used during this period. A nice early version with superb colors. The cup is in superb condition with a little wear to the gold trim on the top edge and a small chip to the outside foot ring that is glazed over and from when it was made. The cup is 2.625 inches tall and 2.75 inches in diameter plus the handle that sticks out about an inch. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossded swords mark as well as a puce number 55 as shown. No impressed number I can find but the decoration is definitely not pre 1740 but around 175 to 1750.
