Umbrella

This is an umbrella handle made by Meissen in the 19th century. It is handpainted with a floral arrangement with fancy gilding around it on a cobalt blue background. The handle is attached to a wooden stick with a fancy piece of silver. The amazing thing is that this entire piece is in perfect condition. It was probably only used very few times as can be seen by the very tip of the piece. Slightly dented from use on the tip. A spot of paint chipping to two spots of the grey wooden piece. The umbrella handle is probably marked inside or where the silver sleeve attaches but it is on tight and I don't intend to mess with it. Obviously Meissen as one can see from the painting. The handle is 2.875 inches long, 1.5 inches tall to where the silver is attached and 0.75 inches wide The entire piece is 35.5 inches long and the umbrella has a diameter of 33 inches (approximately) and is marked Paragon S.Fox & Co Limited.
