Miniature Under Glaze Colors Duck Figurine

This is a rare miniature figurine of a duckling made by Meissen during the Pfeiffer period of the 20th century. This is a rare model that was hand painted with their under glaze colors instead of the usual over glaze ones which gives it a more realistic appearance. Superb cute. The little duck is sitting on a plain white base. Nicely modeled and painted as one would expect. The figure is in perfect condition. It does have an odd blob of porcelain to its breast which looks out of place but I am not sure since it is still marked as a first choice piece. The bird is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark with the dot between the tops as well as the usual impressed numbers and a black 9 as a painter's mark. The piece is 1.625 inches tall, 1.5 inches wide and 1.875 inches long. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $299
