Nice Violets Design Cup & Saucer

This is a cute smaller cup and saucer made by Meissen during the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period of around 1900. Both pieces are hand painted with a cute violet flower garland design and some gold trim to the edges and nicely shaped handle and a gold ring around the well of the saucer. The set is in great condition with an odd stained spot to the inside of the cup (possibly from an old sticker but I have not been able to get rid of it). The violets on the cup are slightly lighter in shade than on the saucer but this color is notoriously difficult to deal with and any temperate difference will make it come out slightly different. They definitely belong together. The saucer is 1 inch tall and has a diameter of 4.75 inches. The cup is 2.25 inches tall and has a diameter of 2.5 inches. Both are marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as the usual impressed numbers common to Meissen pieces of this period and a red painter's number 35 on the saucer as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
