Watteau Scene Dessert Plate

This is a really nice little porcelain dessert plate was made by Meissen in the mid to later 19th century. It has the famous Gotzkowsky relief to the paste including a garland of flowers around the edge of the well held together by a bow and four sections of flowers in relief along the rim. In between these panels there are four polychrome hand painted floral arrangements and a gold trim to the edge. The ebst part is the Watteau style scene in the center including a couple in a landscape surrounding. It's a gourgeous plate - not huge but perfect to display or use. The plate is in perfect condition. It is marked with the under glaze blue crossed swords mark as well as the usual impressed numbers one find on Meissen of this period as shown. The plate is 1.125 inches tall and 7.75 inches in diameter. If you have any questions just send me an email!
