Yellow Ground Kakiemon Tea Caddy

This is a really nice tea caddy or tea jar with its lid made by Meissen in the 20th century. It is nicely hand painted with one of their Kakiemon style floral designs in a nicely shaped white ground panel to either side surrounded by a gold trim with the rest of the vase having a superb yellow ground color except for the top. The lid side has the same yellow ground color with the tp being white with a Kakiemon style flower to it. Gold trim around the top edge of the lid. A stunning color combination that looks modern and very elegant. A stunning piece in perfect condition! The piece with its lid in place is just under 4 inches tall, 2.625 inches wide and 1.5 inches deep. The piece is marked underneath with the under glaze blue crossed swords as well as the usual impressed numbers and red numbers as shown. First choice off course.
