Prunus Blossom Saucer

This is a fun trembleuse saucer made by Mennecy in the mid 18th century. It is made of a creamy colored soft paste with a raised design of prunus blossoms on branches which is a very famous design used by many different makers during this period. The center has a raised ring to hold the cup in place for people whose hands were shaking a lot known as a trembleuse . The piece is in superb condition with some firing flaws - mainly tiny black spots normal to these early pieces from when they were made. The saucer is marked with their impressed D.V mark as shown. It is 1.125 inch tall and 5.5 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $499
