Lady Figurine with flaws

This is a figurine of a lady made by Mennecy in the 18th century. She is made of soft paste porcelain and thus has a creamy warm white color and the enamel colors look quite different from the usual hard paste figurines one sees much more often. Nicely modeled and hand painted. Pink hair is one of the oddities of this maker at times :) The figurine is in good condition with a lot of mostly firing issues. The right hand is a bit rough with the thumb missing and lots of black kiln dust and at first glance it looks like the other fingers are chipped but I do believe it was made this way. Her hair has spots where small items seems to be missing like a crown of leaves or flwoers but it is glazed so I think this happened during the making as did the areas to her backand along the rck she is leaning on and along the edge of the base. Not sure what happened here but she is an early example and lots of things went wrong during the porduction of these pieces. Some wear to the center area of the back of her skirt. Firing crack in the wrist of her other hand. She still displays very nicely and is a fun example from a hard to find maker even with these flaws. All part of the charm of these early piece I think. The figurine is not marked which is pretty common on pieces by them. Quite heavy for the size! The figure is 5.5 inches tall, 2.75 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep.
