Small Lady Figurine

This is a figurine made by Mennecy in the 18th century of a small lady with a tray of grapes or fruit in front of her. She is made of softpaste porcelain and thus has a creamy warm white color and the enamel colors look quite different from the usual hard paste figurine one sees much more often. She is wearing a pink dress that is painted with a darker pink design, a yellow apron with pink flowers on it as well as a blue, white and pink top and a bow in her hair. A cute little piece but sadly she has seen better days! Obviously her right arm is missing, there is a tiny chip to the bow in her hair and she was broken in half at the waiste and reglued though that does not show when on display at all. Still a nice and quite rare example to teach you about soft paste porcelain, colors and getting into Mennecy so worthy of owning even if not perfect! The figurine is not marked which is pretty common on pieces by them. The figure is 3.75 inches tall, 1.375 inches wide and 1.5 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $349
