Mennecy Style Snuff Box

This is a nice snuff / patch / pill / trinket box made in the 19th century I believe. It is marked with the blue D.V. mark for Mennecy in the 18th century but that isn't correct I don't think. The paste does not feel like hard paste but also seems off for soft paste. A bit of a mystery piece for sure. What I do know is that it has a nice shape to it and is nicely hand painted with floral arrangements all around as well as little single flowers and leaves. The colors and quality of the painting is really nice! The mounts appear to be copper. The piece is in superb condition with some really tiny firing spots here and there as shown. The piece is 1.875 inches tall, 3.375 inches wide and 2.625 inches deep so a nice sized piece! Definitely a really nice piece but also a bit of a mystery! Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
