Pedestal #2

This is a nice little pedestal made by Mennecy in the 18th century. It is made of softpaste porcelain and thus has a creamy warm white color to the paste and the enamel colors look quite different from the usual hard paste one sees much more often. Much much nicer! The pedestal is hand painted nicely with a floral arrangement to all four sides - two different types - and a bit of puce trim to the edges. The piece is unmarked which is pretty normal. I also have a marked version if you ned to double check it. The piece is in good condition with a small sliver of a chip to the right bottom corner from which a hairline goes up and over and a tiny rough spot to one of the top corners. The chips are not obvious and neither is the hairline but you can always turn that to the back and it'll look perfect when on display. The stand is 2 inches tall and 2 inches square on the bottom. The top part where a figurine or miniature vase would sit is just over 1.25 inches on each side. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
