Floral & Relief Design Snuff Box

This is a rare and really nice snuff / patch / trinket / pill box / tabatiere made by Mennecy in the 18th century. It is made of softpaste porcelain and thus has a creamy warm white color and the enamel colors look stunning. The box has a relief design to the paste and is hand painted with floral arrangements to the top, bottom, inside top as well as the back and front with a smaller single flower to either side. The mounts are sterling silver - which is marked though it is tiny and I cannot make it out! Really a superb piece! The porcelain is not marked which is normal on these types of items but it was definitely by them. The piece is in superb condition without any issues. There is some normal oxidation to the silver which could be cleaned if one wanted to and the bottom edge has lost its glazed from years of use but these are not real issues. The box is 1.375 inches tall, 3.125 inches wide and 2.5 inches deep. So rather large for their boxes and a truly excellent example of their work!
