Miniature Feather & Bird Design Plate #2

This is a fun little plate made by Mintons between 1891 and 1912. I cannot figure out the exact date code on my piece but the puce back stamp was used only during this time period. So definitely an antique example! A cute plate that has a very hard to find decoration that looks stunning. The dish is hand painted with quite a few feathers as well as three birds that are scattered throughout the plate. The feather decorated pieces are really hard to find and having a couple of birds just adds to the plate. Each feather is superbly detailed and has a different color and shape to it. Each bird is different as well. Definitely all hand painted! They look absolutely stunning! There is a gold trim to the edge. The little plate is in great condition but does have some kiln dust scattered throughout - tiny black spots from when it was fired. Doesn't really distract from the piece and it displays nicely and is a very rare example of this sort of decoration. The dish is 0.625 inches tall and has a diameter of about 4.875 inches. The underside of the base is marked with the impressed Mintons mark as well as the puce globe mark with the crown above and ENGLAND below plus a bunch of impressed marks as shown.
