Nast Red Cornflowers Saucer

This is a nice saucer made by Nast in the late 18th century. Nast was one of the top Paris area makers of this period. The piece is hand painted with a red cornflower design including their red blossoms and green leaves and a gold trim along the edge. The red version is much harder to find than the more common blue cornflowers version since those were a favorite of Marie Antoinette and thus quite popular during the period. The saucer 1.125 inches tall and 5.125 inches in diameter. It is in superb condition with a touch of gold wear. Marked underneath with their red NAST mark as shown.
