Nathusius Pipe w/Original Box

This is a really nice pipe bowl in its original box made most likely by Nathusius of Althaldensleben in the first half of the 19th century. I have never come across one in its original box unsmoked and in this good a condition! The porcelain pipe bowl is hand painted with a scene including a well dressed young woman holding a hat in her hands in a superb landscape surrounding. The painting is framed by a gold trim. The pipe is marked with the under glaze blue line mark on the bottom of the stem as shown. It is 4.75 inches long and has a top diameter of just under 1.25 inches. The piece is in perfect condition. The box is worn and shows some age with one of the pieces holding it closed missing but it's still here which is a minor miracle after 200 or so years! A superb pipe only made better by it having it's box. Please email me for more information or photos.
