Large Biscuit Figurine #2

This is a really ncie figurine made by Niderviller in the late 18th century. Made in unglazed or biscuit porcelain it is of a lady that has fallen sleep while sitting on a tree branch and her two young children are up to no good - one of them taking a piece of fruit from a hat filled with fruit and the other taking a sip of wine (I assume) from a flask in her basket. These biscuit pieces are superb as the detail is so much nicer than on glazed pieces. The figures are on a typical base with rocks and greenery to it. The piece is in great condition but does have a few issues. There is a bit of damage to her hat, the tip of the bottle is damages a tiny bit and the boy in the back is missing his right foot plus some minor chips to the bottom edge of the base in that same area. All in all in great shape and it looks amazing when displayed. The figure is marked which is fairly rare. It has the little plaque with the name NIDERVILLER on it as shown. The figurine is about 8.375 inches tall and the base is about 5 inches in diameter. An old museum ID underneath in red as shown. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $599
