Blackamoor Figurine

This is a great figurine of a blackamoor made by Niderviller around 1800. The figure likely is meant to represent Africa as a continet with the guy wearing a feather dress, a turban on his head, a quiver on his back with a bow in his hand while standing on a typical rock base with one foot on a crocodile or some sort of lizard. A really nice and detailed piece. The figure is in decent condition with a lot of the grey bow missing, damage to the fingers as shown, the turban likely had a feather in the front which is gone and the very tip of the snout of the lizard has a chip. Still displays very well and would be an easy fix if need be. Different from ost pieces one sees by them. As is the case with most of their figurines he is unmarked. The figurine is 4.125 inches tall and the base has a diameter of 1.875 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
