Harlequin Figurine

This is a superb figurine of a Harlequin made by Niderviller around 1800. I have never seen a Harlequin by them but they are among the most popular type of figurine of collectors! This one is rather nice being painted with patches of different colors, a nice base typical of Niderviller with the gilding on the rim as well as the three pommels on his dress and the mask he is holding in his left hand. A perfect example for the discerning collector! The piece is extremely solid and heavy being made of one solid piece of porcelain which is typical of Niderviller. The figure is in great condition with just a small good restoration to the front rim of his hat. As is the case with most of their figurines it is unmarked underneath. The piece is 5.5 inches tall and the base is 2.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
