Hurdy Gurdy Player Figurine

This is a great figurine of a lady playing the hurdy gurdy made by Niderviller around 1800. The lady is dressed in a very nice floral dress with a type of apron up front and a fancy shirt as well as a head scarf. She is holding the hurdy gurdy musical instrument in front of her and standing on a nice base typical for this maker. The figurine is smaller than most I have owned but really quite nice - lots of detail and nicely handpainted! The piece is solid and heavy for its size being made of one solid piece of porcelain. Niderviller unlike most makers did not usre airholes during the firing process. The figure is in perfect condition which is nice. As is the case with most of their figurines she is unmarked. The figurine is 4.375 inches tall and the base has a diameter of 1.875 inches. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
