Wood Grain Scenic Cup

This is a superb cup made by Niderviller in the late 18th century. It is hand painted with a superb scene in the front including some buildings, mountains, water and clouds which is surrounded by a black and gold trim with the rest of the cup having the wood grain aka faux bois design to it which is just stunning. A bit more gold trim to the top edge and handle. The cup is marked with their under glaze blue interlaced CC mark under a crown as shown. The piece is 2.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. It is in good condition with a chip to the bottom edge on the side as shown. It's not super obvious when on display and is stunning enough to not make that big a difference.
