Superb Biedermeier Vase #2

This is a very rare and absolutely stunning Biedermeier vase made by Nymphenburg in the early 19th century around 1810. It has the typical Empire shape to it from this period with my favorite ground color - the matte blue which has a look to it unlike any other color in the world of porcelain. The front has a really nice floral arrangement hand painted on white ground with a tooled gilding border around it. A bit more gold trim like hanging icicles around the neck of the vase and a fancy gold design to the bottom end of the main body. A fully gilded handle to either side and more gilding to the top and around the base. It's an amazing piece that is super elegant and really rare. More in line with French Empire period pieces but that was the taste around the early 19th century so they matched it. The underside is marked with the impressed shield mark, a script letter L as well as the 1/5 marking ones finds on pieces from this period though I am unsure of the meaning. The piece is good condition for the age and displays nicely but the right handle has been broken into three pieces and reglued with small bits missing. An easy fix for a good restorer but it displays fine the way it is I think. Some discoloration and marks to the blue ground which is normal since it is not as smooth as glazed pieces. Nothing that takes away from this elegant piece! The entire piece is is 9.375 inches tall, 6.75 inches wide and 4.375 inches deep. I have it's matching mate listed separately if anyone is interested in a pair that is in better shape. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
