Amor Figurine

This is a very rare figurine made by Nymphenburg right when he was originally modeled around 1803 by Kirchmayer . Very rare to find original models of Nymphenburg pieces and the ones around 1800 are never really seen anymore. I think this is the first piece I have seen in many years. He is extremely well modeled and painted very elegantly. The wings are a mix of purple, green and ble with a bit of yellow mixed in. He is pulling an arrow from his quiver behind his back and leanign against a tree stump. Correclty modeled up front which is a rare thing as well as most are covered up! He is holding his bow in his left hand. The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath as shown as well as an HD monogram and some other type of y looking mark. Not sure what these stand for. No impressed numbers were used back then. The figurine is 7.75 inches tall with the base having a diameter of about 3.5 inches. The figure is in great condition with a hairline coming from the airhole underneath the base and visible on the front but not up top and the top part of the bow was restored which could have been done better. He displays perfectly and is something special! There is a firing crack along the mold line on his torso under his right armpit. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $2999
