Damaged Art Nouveau Plate

This is a great looking but slightly damaged plate made by Nymphenburg in the late 19th century during the original period for this design. It is hand painted with a very stunning Art Nouveau design that reminds me of a Georgia O'Keeffe painting but this dates to right about when she was born. The center is white with an orange and purple blossom design with the leaves of the flowers forming the sides of the design. The rest of the plate is painted with a nice grey ground color with streaks going in from the edge and three reticulated sections highlighted with gold trim with three smaller gold designs near the edge. Gold trim to the edge. These pieces are not easy to find and I really enjoy them. I have a set of five of them in different colors all from the original period with the 19th century blue shield and crown mark. The plate is 1.125 inches tall and 8.25 inches in diameter. It displays nicely but has been chipped at the 12 o'clock position along the edge which was then painted over with some gold color to hide it well. So when it is up on the wall it looks perfect. The dish is marked underneath with the blue shield mark under a crown as well as the word Nymphenburg under that used around 1894, some red numbers and a letter as well as Gesetzlich geschuetzt (copyright) in a red rectangle as shown. It also has the impressed shield mark with the star above it used from 1890 until 1905. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
