Dachauerin Figurine

This is a figure of a lady from the Dachau region of Germany wearing her traditional clothes. The figure was made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. From a series of people wearing tradional costumes from the Bavaria area. Dachau is about 30km north of Munich and sadly more famous for the concentration camp located there during WWII. Originally modeled by Resl Schröder-Lechner around 1938 this figurine is from this period. A fairly ahrd to find model. The lady is nicely dressed in her traditional outfit including a skirt, a fancy top and a headdress with bows plus another bow to the front. She is standing on a simple base with a light blue ring around the edge typical for this sries of figurines. The figure is 85 inches tall, 3.125 inches wide and 2.875 inches deep. Marked with the impressed shield mark to the front top of the base as well as on the underside, the impressed numbers 845 which is the model number over 0 and the green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg underneath. The figurine is in perfect condition which is always a plus. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
