Cute Ferret Figurine

This is a rare and super cute figure made by Nymphenburg in the mid 20th century right after WWII. It is of a ferret / weasel / mink / stoat / ermine (probably a short tailed weasel but I am no expert at all) in a standing position looking super cute and smart. The figure was first modeled by August M. Franz Göhring and is amazingly well done and hand painted to perfection. It is standing on a typical base for this maker with four little feet to it. This is not a model you really ever see and it is just stunning! The figure looks real. The white animal on that greenish base with the superb face coloration. I don't think you'll find a nicer example in porcelain! This model also comes in the summer coloration version while we have the winter coloration here. The figure is marked underneath with the impressed shield mark, model number 2035 over 9, the green shield mark with Nymphenburg underneath it and Western Germany under that. The back corner of the base has their blue painted impressed shield mark to it. The piece is in perfect condition! The figurine is 8.5 inches tall, 3.25 inches wide and about 5 inches deep.
