Large Hunters Butchering Deer Figurine

This is a larger figure - the rare center piece to the " Nymphenburger Jagd " group of figurines made by Nymphenburg in the early 20th century. The figure was made by Nymphenburg in the earlier 20th century - 1930 to be exact. So almost a true antique! This is a model from the hunting series originally designed by modeled by Carl Gottlieb Lück for Frankenthal in the 1760s. The 18th century pieces are amazing but also impossible to find. They come in three different colors - red, green and yellow as is the case with this figurine. There are quite a few figures to this hunting table decoration but the center pieces one never sees so I was excited to find it! The figure includes a dead stag deer on the ground that was cut open through the belly with some guts spilling, a hunter standing on the base next to the deer with a cut off leg in his hand, another hunter kneeling on the ground with a knife in his hand, a hunter riding his horse with a hunting horn over his shoulder as well as two hunting dogs standing on the base. The base has a green and black color to it with lots of relief detail and some applied grasses and green flowers. Gilded scrolls all around the bottom edge. As nice a figure as you will find from this set with an amazing amount of detail to it. The piece is marked with the impressed shield mark as well as the number 1067 over 1 and the blue monogram CT for it being a Frankenthal model originally with the year mark 1930 under that as shown. The figurine is about 7.25 inches tall, 7.5 inches wide and 6.5 inches deep. This is the smaller version of this group as they also made a larger one that is exactly the same but the size. The figurine is in great condition, a tail of one of the dogs missing, an oak leaf design on the hat of the rider missing, the reigns going from the horse's belly to his head missing, one yellow blossom missing and two pieces of the stag's antlers missing and another piece reglued. That damage is to be expected after it being almost 100 years old. A very fragile piece that still displays perfectly! Please email me for more information or other pictures.
