Coffee Service

This is a rare coffee set designed by Melchior and dating to about 1820. Even though I show only one cup & saucer in the pic there are four cups and saucers as well as the sugar, creamer and coffee pot as part of the set. Handpainted on an orangy beige background with gold stars and figural handles and spouts. Marked with the impressed shield mark of around 1820 as well as various incised marks. The set is in super condition. Sugar lid is missing, tiny restoration to spout of pot that can not be seen with the naked eye, one hairline crack to a saucer, and the finial on the lid of the coffee pot is reglued. The cups are 3 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter, the saucers are 1 inch tall and a bit over 5 inches in diameter, the creamer is 6.5 inches tall and 3.5 inches in diameter, the sugar is 4.25 inches tall and 5 inches in diameter and the coffee pot is 9.5 inches tall and 4.5 inches in diameter. None of these measurements include the handles or spouts! This is a very rare set to find and in super condition. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
