Peacock Pigeon Figurine #2

This is a nice of peacock tail dove or pigeon made by Nymphenburg in the 20th century. A superb bird figure that is extremely nice to display. One of a pair that look slightly different and are listed separately on the site. Rare to find them in perfect condition and painted. The piece was designed by the famous Luise Terletzki-Scherf in 1953 whose animal figurines are highly collectable. It is a really nice bird figurine and one can easily see where their name comes from! That tail looks amazing! Superbly modeled with lots of detail and the hand painted detail makes it one elegant piece! The gold base only makes it that much nicer! The figure is marked with the impressed shield mark to one corner of the base and her initials to another. An impressed shield mark underneath plus the numbers 961 over 8 as well as the green shield stamp with the word Nymphenburg underneath. The dove is about 5 inches tall, 4.25 inches wide and 3.75 inches deep. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
