Circus Elephant Figurine

This is a really fun figurine of an elephant on top of a stand performing a circus routine made by Nymphenburg during the mid 20th century. Something that rightfully does not happen anymore and our kids already have no idea what this is. Still a memory that many of us slightly older folks have from when we were young. The figure was designed by the famous Terletzki-Scherf who also designed many other circus animals for this series. The elephant and base are really nicely modeled and the base is reminiscent of the circus feeling. The piece is 7.75 inches tall, 6.125 inches long and 3.125 inches deep so a nice size. The figure is marked with the impressed shield mark underneath the base as well as the impressed model number 657 and a number 6. There is also the green shield mark with the word Nymphenburg under it. Another impressed shield mark to the back of the base under one of the green shapes and hard to see. The piece is in perfect condition which is nice since the tail is often damaged on these. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $749
