Rare Orleans Floral Plate

This is a rare plate made by Orleans in the 18th century. A rare piece by a mker you don't find often at all especially marked examples. Orleans started making porcelain around 1767 under Claude-Charles Gerault d'Areaubert who died in 1782. After him his widow took over for a while and then some other people until it closed in 1812 I think. The plate is handpainted with a nice floral design. Pink roses to the rim as well as nlue cornflowers and a leaf garlands weaving in between. A gold ring along the rim and gilding to the edge. The center has a nice rose arrangement to it with a thicker and thinner gold band around that. Fairly typical in style for French makers but a rare find by this maker. The piece is marked underneath with their blue mark as shown. I think this formed part of the Armorial of the local Duke. It is a horizonthal line with three triangles hanging off it. Marques au lambel is the French term for this heraldic design I believe. Also an incised circulat mark possible an O or a D as shown. The plate is in good condtion with wear to the gold rings around the roses in the center and a bit of wear here and there normal to soft paste pieces from this period. A very rare example! The dish is 1.125 inches tall and 9 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.
