Blue Fluted Knife Pair #1

This is a fairly hard to find pair of knives where the handle is made of Royal Copenhagen porcelain. These are in the Blue Fluted style - their version of the blue and white strawflower pattern and it is a design one does not see often at all. Their musselmalet design is much more common. And this here is a very nice pattern indeed. I am unsure as to the date of the porcelain handles or the metal parts. I am assuming they are around the early 20th century. A superb pair in great condition except for some oxidation to the metal parts which is normal. There is an area of roughness on towards the end of one of the handles that is some sort of manufacturing issue and does not affect the piece. I showed it in one of the pics. The metal part is steel - not sure what the collar is made of since it is not marked but it is probably the same material by the look of it. The porcelain handles are unmarked which is always the case or at least not visibly marked. Might be hiding under the collar part. The metal blade is marked RAADVAD under a crown as well as the three wavy lines under a crown mark used by Royal Copenhagen as shown. Each knife is 8.5 inches long of which the visible part of the handle is about 3.25 inches. The blade part is about 4.5 inches.

Price is $179
