Green Rim Scenic Plate

This is a plate made by one of the Paris makers (possibly Jacob Petit ) around 1800. It is handpainted with a good quality scene in the center of a couple in a landscape surrounding. The rim has a nice green ground color with raised gold clover looking things as well as three cartouches with farming tools and musical instruments in them. Quite the typical Paris piece. The plate is in great condition with just a very minimal amount of wear. As is the norm the piece is unmarked except for an incised 2 and a script D. It does have three stilt marks from the firing process as well. The plate is 1.25 inches tall and 9.25 inches in diameter. Please email me for more information or other pictures.

Price is $249
