Nude Lady Scene Plate

This is a really nice plate made by one of the Paris makers around 1800. it has a nice rim design with a purplish ground color with little hunting tool / musical instrument designs in tooled gilding on top and two thin gold rings as well as two wider ones to either side. The best thing however is the hand painted scene in the center that covers the entire well. A very good quality scene of a bare breasted lady with a putto / young child on her left side by a golden urn with a pearl necklace haning over the edge and another nude child / putto on her right side with some greenery in hid hands. The semi nude lady has a nice skirt on and a wreath of grapevines, grapes and ears of corn in her hair. Probably meant to symbolize one of the four seasons - Fall / Autumn in this case. A very well painted piece that is nicer than many one comes across. The plate is in superb condition with just some very minor use marks mainly to the gold trim around the well. It displays perfectly! As is the norm the piece is unmarked except for an incised script letter as shown. The plate is 1.375 inches tall and 9.25 inches in diameter.
