Scenic Inkwell

This is a superb inkwell made by one of the Paris makers around 1800. It is handpainted with a good quality landscape scene that goes all around and lots of gold trim. Nice claw feet and a rare complete version with nothing missing. The scenes are in the typical Paris fashion. The entire piece is in superb condition with some wear to the gold trim mostly on the top edge of the main body and the finials of the lid were off at some point and re-attached well. Not obvious at all. As is the norm the piece is only marked with an incised letter underneath. It is 4.75 inches tall, 5.625 inches wide and just over 3 inches deep.
